I need to stop referring to Rose Hwang (aka: @RoseHwang) as Taiwan’s ‘Twitter Queen’. Yes, she may have more followers on Twitter than me (aka: @TheFeast) or anyone else in Taiwan, but she doesn’t think of herself as a queen. That’s probably a good thing, because if she came to RTI with a crown on her head, Ellen Chu would have run off with it (kind of like she kept poor Rose’s pink pen “by mistake!” For the record, Ellen has asked me to return it for her.)
Rose joined us for the Saturday, June 6th edition of Feast Meets West. The rose-hued outfits that we wore to the recording session were totally by accident, but somehow appropriate.
In the program, Rose talks about her role as a ‘happiness pollinator’ and shares with us her follower’s favorite summer foods. Check back with this blog to find out more about those summer foods in the coming days, and continue reading to see two more pictures from our recording session, and for more information about how to listen!
Listen to our interview with Rose in the 6/6 edition of Feast Meets West, by visiting the Radio Taiwan International web site. Click on one of the two links next to “Saturday” in the upper-left-hand corner. Fast-forward to about 11′oo to listen to Feast Meets West; our interview begins at about 20′oo. The link will be available soon and last for about one week.

Ellen Chu digs into a bowl of refreshing sweet mung bean ice -- a popular summer treat in Taiwan. Check back on this blog in the coming days for more posts about Taiwan's summer treats!
